Photo frame Milestone

This long due photo frame, which Daddy promised to accomplish is finally ready! It captures my babyhood from birth to 1st birthday. This photo frame was a gift from Berry jie jie since I was born, and it took daddy such long time to get it done. Mummy thinks it's really enjoyable to be seeing my different stages of growth in a glimpse. How fast have I grown!!! Mummy's amazed at how fast growth is in a child, she thought she had just given birth yesterday, everything's so vivid.

Mummy Convocated!

Mummy convocated!!! Together with Grandparents and Daddy, we went to her convocation. A 2.5 years course that has finally completed. It wasn't an easy road for Mummy, from struggling between work and school, then pregnancy and then my arrival, it seemed like a journey that couldn't be completed. And still, she did it!

Always in her mind, Mummy recalls how she had to rush to school for an exam on the second day upon my arrival. She didn't want to defer her exam and she wants to graduate on time. Instead of resting, she spent her hospitalized nights revising just so that she could go for the paper. Hard work paid off, she cleared all her subjects and graduated with a beautiful distinction. A dream accomplished for putting on that mortar hat - a will, a way!

With Daddy and Mummy!!!

I wasn't allowed into the ceremony, so I waited and roamed outside with Daddy. For every graduand that passed by, I thought that was Mummy, I kept calling, "Mummy Mummy." But Daddy said that's not Mummy, it's Harry Potter.

Grandma trying to be funny huh... put on Mummy's gown

Me and the mortar board... haha.

We live life once, if there's an urging desire to fufil a dream, just do it! It takes lots of determination, but if that's a dream, then nothing hinders. Start the race and complete it well. Mummy thanks Grandpa, Grandma and Daddy for the ongoing support while she was struggling between books, home and work. It wouldn't have been possible without them!

Shapes Matching

These toy blocks were my first few toys. Before I could figure how to match the shapes, I would carry the bucket around and keep the shapes by opening and closing the lid. Every time Mummy walks past this toy, she wonders when will I know how to dump the shapes correctly.

Last week, I surprised her! I could match the shapes and dump them into the bucket! Daddy claimed to be the mentor of this milestone. Hmm, Mummy wonders if he should be credited.

Know how Mummy got me to do this video? She switched off the TV that I was watching halfway, only getting my show back if I were to play this game well. It's a fair trade! Instead of applauding myself at the end, I asked for the remote control to get my show back.

Fireworks

NDP and the opening ceremony of youth olympics were just days apart. I got to witness fireworks from my home. When the fireworks are over, I'll go "pop pop pop", imitating the pop of the fireworks. Yesterday and today, there were some fireworks too! Not sure what occasion it was, but it appears at about 10pm to 1030pm, which I am already in dreamland.

A good enough view

I would keep pointing out the window now, saying, "pop pop pop." Fireworks is a rare sight here, only on big national occasions will I get to see them. They're beautiful!

Ash and Char's Birthday Party

I attended Ash and Char's 1st birthday last weekend, the twin girls are 4 months younger than me. Time flies! I had a fun time snacking at the party, the post weaning meal prepared for toddlers was so yummy. I finished up a bowl of chicken porridge with no fuss at all.

Visit to Istana

My long weekend was splendid! We visited the Istana, it opened its house for National Day. There were lots of people, Singaporeans and Non-Singaporeans. We were of the many last hour visitors. The place is huge, and we did lots of walking. It was a fun experience, I love the play area for kids!

Queuing to enter Istana

I sure know how to pose!

I love slides!

With the Singapore crest...

This guard is 'statue'. He doesn't move at all!

I had a very tired day, so did Mum and Dad! We love weekends... And I wonder why are Dad are Mum in blue? Isn't red and white the code... Hmm...

Happy National Day

I celebrated national day in school, all dressed up in red and white. And, this was what I brought home today... handmade by me! The most imperfect artwork, but perfect in Mummy's eyes. Happy Holidays!
