Sesame Street Character Breakfast - Littlest turns TWO!

The littlest turns TWO! We brought him out for some celebration fun at USS, because he loves anything Sesame Street! He had a blast of his time with Elmo, Cookie Monster, Grover and Oscar. We honestly were not expecting much fun for the older kids since it was for Juboy that we were trying to 'dream' again. 

Sesame Street Character breakfast is on every Saturday at USS. That made our celebration idea easy. Tickets can be bought on site at $50 per adult and $35 per child (4 to 12 years old). USS annual pass holders get a slight discount, adult at $45 and child at $32. Ticket is only for breakfast. Entrance to the park is not inclusive. 

If you have some special arrangement like wanting Elmo to present a birthday present (one that you have prepared) to your child, then yes, you may have to pre-arrange with the staff. If not, a simple celebration doesn't require any prior booking or arrangement. Upon arriving, just inform them that you have a child celebrating birthday.

We arrived at 8.45am, when the park was still closed. We had some great photo opportunity with no photobomb-mers. Breakfast venue is at the Loui's NY pizza parlour, next to the Spaghetti chase ride. Upon arriving the restaurant's entrance, Juboy was squealing with excitement. Sesame street character standees were placed outside to welcome guests. With that baby-ness in him, he waved 'hi' to them.

Breakfast spread wasn't a big feast, but a fairly decent spread of western and Asian mix. It's buffet style. I guess because there were not many guests to prepare for. The buffet table was very beautifully embellished to sesame street theme. There were character cupcakes and toast to delight the kids!

At about 45 minutes into our breakfast, Elmo and Cookie monster made their appearance! They moved from table to table for individual photo opportunities, after which they lingered around for more photo taking fun! That morning, there were only 4 families. We had ample time! The next pair who appeared about 15 minutes later were Grover and Oscar.

Together with Elmo and Cookie monster, we sang Juboy a birthday song. Though he didn't seem to know what went on, he enjoyed our singing very much. A small rainbow cake was presented to our birthday boy. The staff were kind to give Jazz and Jare a slice each too. They really are in the line of making every child happy.

We spent much time taking pictures, and the staff were more than happy to take over your camera for these moments. 

After all the meet and greet, there was a mini game segment for the kids! A simple quiz session on Sesame Street. It was intended to be easy so all kids get to win a cute little Elmo plate. Even Juboy had one too!

The whole session ended at about 10.30am, which by that time, the park got very crowded! The older kids scooted off for the shortest rides they can find and Juboy caught the Elmo TV show with me. Breakfast with Sesame Street characters is one you have to do, only if your kids are fans of Sesame Street.  

So yeap, we had much fun over breakfast that morning. Most importantly, the birthday boy had really enjoyed his morning. Being a Mum of three, I hold this constant guilt towards the youngest. It felt like he has been short changed in many ways. While that will be another story to tell, I'm glad such moment alleviated that guilt a little.

The daughter is Nine!

The daughter turned nine last weekend. We had a little celebration with her favourite friends at USS. This girl has a crazy thrill over roller coasters. We are so thankful for friends who made it happened with us!

Jazz is my constant reminder of Motherhood as well as this blog's anniversary, which was birthed with her. Days before her birthday, she wrote cards of gratitude to her family and friends. I was heartened. Instead of anticipating receive, she gave. A thankful heart is always the key to contentment.

The busy parenting days keep us all so occupied that days and years seem so close by. To be honest, I even made a blunder to think that she was turning ten. How could I?!

It is Nine! The final single digit before hopping onto double digits. In no time, she is going to talk like a tween. The pre-trouble age before I gave my parents most heartaches. I confess, there's so much fear in me. The fear of handling a tween, the fear of using wrong communication and discipline styles as her mindset evolve. I hear grouses of Mums who aren't able to communicate with their daughters as they grow older. There is a drift and tension that surfaced unexpectedly.

I told the daughter, it will not be easy ahead of us. I may agree and you disagree, you agree and I disagree. I often sum up my debate with the advantage of being a grown up and being a Mum who knows that my choices are always for the best of my children. That puts her mostly on the silent end for now.

The day after her birthday, we had a lengthy conversation next to her bed. I felt like I was summarizing my life story within that half hour. Oh well, Mums have a unique ability to impart wisdom in a way that no one else can. I had to seize the moment.

I took opportunity to remind the daughter that:

1. Academics is not stagnant and learning curve gets steeper. Brushing and hoping to get done with a fearful topic is avoidance. It will make a come back. Slay that fear gloriously by pouring in double portion of hardwork.

2. Free time does get lesser. Years of lullaby and milk drinking are long over. School load gets heavier, more activities get filled in and spare time to bum around gets significantly lesser. I can't emphasize this much further that we should always stay disciplined and manage time well. 

3. Knowledge is king. The only way to gain new and meaningful knowledge is through the many years of studies. We should not compromise that. A wise man and a fool, who is more convincing? 

4. While knowledge is IQ in progress, we should balance up with EQ. People revolves around us. Identify our feelings and others. Speak with respect, accept differences and consider options. 

5. There will always be a mixed of people around. Deal with the various types of character strategically. You don't have to make everyone happy.

 

6. I promise you, for every season of hardwork, there will be season of enjoyment. Grit on, because tough and busy days are not perpetual. Balance it well.  

7. There are no perfect friendships. Compatibility is already a great deal. Friends known since young are treasures to keep. 

8. As you grow older and wiser, things do get complicated. There is however no fear as we constantly mature to make sense with our thoughts.

9. Being the eldest is God appointed. It is a privilege to share knowledge and have little siblings model after the good of you.

10. Don't stop reading. The more you read, the more you know. The more you know, the more you think.

Some day, I do hope my words will come to her rescue in troubling situations. After all, I am just trying to do Motherhood the right way with these invaluable points. Nine is a wonderful age to celebrate, still the little girl we love to cuddle daily. I pray that she will be richly blessed in the many birthdays to come.

Empowering the Daughter

Earlier this month, the daughter turned gracefully eight. Being the eldest, she is the constant reminder of my celebration in Motherhood years. The journey that once embarked, never seems to end. The journey that requires deep commitment and willingness to keep going even during tough circumstances. The journey with thrown in the towel umpteen times, but still got back to serve. All these in the name of LOVE.

I am Thankful for my kids, the gifts that were bestowed to me, regardless of how and what they were. I don't really understand how the gender of my children were arranged by God, but I am grateful that I am gifted a daughter. Where we can braid with each other's hair and squeal over princesses together.

Most Thankful that she is a simple girl with no complicated requests. I asked what she would like to do on her birthday, she said a playdate with her favourite friends! That wasn't difficult at all, I thought. We did park with her friends in the morning and dinner with more favourite friends in the evening. These got her really contented.

I gifted a 12 points note to our son, Jare, and to play fair, here are my words gifted to the daughter, to empower her:

1. You are beautiful! Always. Beautiful like we often define is, on the inside and outside. 

2. White lies and over flattery words are not my forte. I believe there's always truth in love! You have to believe in Mama.

3. Between Envy and Jealously. Always choose to envy. With envy there is togetherness, joy and celebration. Jealously often leads to dire consequences.

4. It's alright to fail. It matters how we learn from it and persevere on getting it right. 

5. Always deal people with Sincerity. It melts anyone's heart. 

6. We accept and love you for who you are. We may not agree with your temperament at difficult moments, but we accept the fact that you have a mind of her own. We give space and build respect.

7. Humility. Often, most often, there is a trend of over bragging girls. Sometimes, it's not what we share, but how we share. Sometimes, we can choose to contain achievements within the family. Stay humble. Always. 

8. Remember the animations we watched on Nemo and Dory? They are perfect examples of forgiveness and forgetfulness when it comes to hurt relationships. It helps us move on.

9. There will always be some others who will choose to be jealous or say mean things at us. We can't choose their acts, but we can control our response. Do what feels right to the conscience.

10. Between courage and fear, always choose courage. Speaking up and doing the right thing often involve a mountain of debate between fear and courage. While it may not be easy choosing the latter, it helps in taking the first step out of that comfort zone.

11. No matter how strain or upset our Mother and daughter relationship can be on some days, we will always commit to bridge and smooth whatever frictions we have. Only if we have an open and close relationship, we can have access to the inner thoughts of our hearts and minds.

12. Choose right friends. Friends that encourages and appreciates you for who you are! Nice to always have 1 or 2 confidantes than a whole lot of them. Better to have a quality of wonderful friends than a quantity of them. Be a treasured friend too!

Simplicity and kindness sum you up. May you continue to grow in love, wisdom and gratitude. Happy 8th birthday, Darling!

What are your ways of empowering a daughter?

Things I want my son to know

The second born, Jare turns 6! In no time, it's another P1 registration phase for us. This boy being our first son, surfaced the many differences between parenting a little girl and a little boy. It really isn't quite the same. Apart from their individual characters, we know vastly boys are into trucks and girls are into tutus. It takes a load of tolerance to fully understand why he has got ants in his pants while sister is cool still when it comes to any waiting game.

We knew there can't be the same expectations, there can't be equal results and milestones are different. 

Along the years, he has matured much in words, thoughts and acts. I knew he was getting more reliable as I saw how he cared for his little brother, ensuring his baby moves are well taken care of.

I thought, perhaps, it's time that we can have some sensible advises. And here are mine to him: 

1. Don't be afraid of insects! Your Dad complemented me because he would rid roaches and other creepy crawlies without a tinge of fear. That makes him a hero easily.

2. Be Magnanimous! Leave the pretty petty to the girls, while you exhibit the noble and generous mind. Only with generous minds, you can achieve greater things. This trait makes up a man.

3. Don't be a hoarder of things! Always clean and clear out whatever stuff that has been categorized as useless. A clean and tidy man appeals.

4. In case you are not keen in further developing other skills, then Grades matter! If not, bring on those big dreams in mind. 

5. It alright to drink, but Don't get drunk! It gets you all messed up and No! It doesn't impress.

6. Perspiration is inevitable. Don't be afraid of the heat and sweat, we are birthed in the tropics. 

7. Read maps well. You have no idea how important it is for a man to lead.

8. Respect girls. Keep your hands to yourself! You should not do what you wouldn't like anyone to do unto your sister.

9. It's alright to cry. Just make sure you are alone or with Mama.

10. Be prudent, but don't be stingy. Generosity is an opportunity to bless. 

11. Don't be a male chauvinist. We are always in one or more ways co-partners with the girls around us. There are girls who can inspire and empower your life.

12.  Always love your family. You will meet new people and eye candies, but always keep Family in mind. Don't let anyone put your family down, stand up for them.


Yeap, 12 wonderful word gifts for the boy. One to meditate on each month. Oh wait, my son turned 6 not 16 eh? That's ok, it's good to have an early start.

Little lessons Iearnt as my daughter turned 7

Dear Jazz, 

You turned magically seven early this month. It's now mid month and I know this has to be a milestone to document for. 

Your birth day also marks the birth of our blog! It was your birth that inspired me to start our milestones and memories in here. Together with you, it has grown to be seven years. 

I often do random read back and looking at you and your brother, I'm assured that you both are happy little beings, enjoying childhood to the fullest! That makes my Motherhood journey as fulfilling too.

On your birthday...

I packed a box of your favourite snacks to school. It was unusual to pack gummies and your favourite junkies snacks for school. But, it was your birthday! 

When I got you after school that day, you were upset that you gave up your all gummies to the classmates sitting near you. You said you couldn't say, "No."

For that kindness you shared, I brought abundance to you. I gave you a pack of gummies!

Thank you for that sacrifice to show kindness!

I asked where you would like to go? You asked for the theme park. I declined because it would be a pity that I can't go on rides with you. Daddy has to be at work, and you understood us readily.

You gave an alternative of going to the beach with your favourite buddy, Pillow. I was more than happy to fulfill that simple request.

Thank you for teaching me simple joy! 

I asked if you would like to bring little brother along, you said, "Yes! He's my play funner." I'm amused at the love hate relationship you both hold.

Then I asked about the cake you would like. I threw you all the fanciful options, but you only wanted the cake we always ordered from my childhood baker. It was usually plainly designed, but she made it special for you. For the love of dogs you have.

I asked again, what was your birthday wish, you said a game of Monopoly with your family! I'm impressed at how you gathered everyone for an amazing game of 3 hours!

Oh, I am getting all soooo emotional marveling at the simplicity and thoughtfulness in you. You even understood that we don't do anymore parties upon entering primary-hood. You never whined a single bit when we were doing so much for your little bro's 5th party this year. 

Thank you for the many little lessons you teach along our walk. You teach me what life is all about! And it's our blessing to have you as our daughter.

As you stepped into the world of massive academics, I often tell you, success is never a coincidence. Work hard with that strong hunger of knowledge burning in you. You will be one great achiever.

We love you and always believe in you!

Keep in check too, that a beautiful person isn't just about the achievements outside, but the nature of our inner core. Stay beautiful!

A Star Wars Theme party

Jare celebrated his 5th birthday last week with a Star Wars themed party. He requested for the theme, after which I realised it was quite a challenge, as the party stuffs were not an easy find. I do have a love for planning theme parties, but I've to pre-warn, it is one whole lot of tiring job. The satisfaction of success is immensely great though.

Here's what we did:

1. Goodie bags

As I decided to hunt for them on taobao, I had to order them early before the Lunar New Year crept in. So yeap, guest lists had to be prepared early to order the most accurate count with some spares. I have a heart for practical and fun items, so here's what I've picked out after days of 'researching.' Star Wars theme is also one unpopular find on taobao, so it does take some time to search out.

Carted out with pouches to hold the goodies, light pencil box, clips, luggage tags, black coloured notebook with luminous pens to write on. It should delight the kids, I hope.

I did not include any edibles in as we know how the snacks and sweets are often negotiated with parents. Instead, I left the snacks and sweets to the pinata and dessert table for free choice adoption.

2. Printable

Free printable online does make life much easier. We made masks and printed some for wraps and pastes on packet drinks and snacks.

It's no perfect job when you outsource the cutting to kids. But really, it doesn't matter, we should all have great fun planning and preparing together. It's their party after all.

I did set up a little corner to for kids who prefer seat work like colouring or writing. The free printable worksheets with some colouring materials did help in that part of entertainment.

3. Dessert table

I had the ease of setting up a dessert table since the venue was home. Which means, I don't have to transport massive items out of home.

The snacks with printable went onto the table to help beautify. Above those, I tired to work with the colours and characters of Star Wars to plan on food. It helps when we try to think of practical food that guests would eat, not just for the sake of a pretty table. I baked chocolate cupcakes (looking like the dark side), prepared soy green beans (looking like Yoda's colour), grapes (thought of BB-8), Marshmallow (turned stormtroppers), chips and chocolate pastry. Too much cakey stuff, so the pastry was left almost untouched. 

Imagination can run wild with the food and names. As long as you like it!

Getting this sweet table up wasn't as tough as I thought. It helps much when we've got some ready cupcake stand and plastic wares to hold the food. Muffin cups are good snack holders too.

4. Decoration

We went simple on the decor. Nothing much was done except balloons near the cake cutting table, aka dessert table. We rented helium tank so we could inflate some black and white balloons for the kids to bring home, as well as to inflate the character balloons I bought from taobao. 

It was most wonderful to have Jasmine from twist entertainment coming in to help make light sabers. Huge and small handheld ones! The handheld red, blue, green and purple light sabers really cheered and excited not just the boys, but girls too.

 

She is sure one talented lady with creative ideas and twists for parties. She made wonderful and exciting balloons at Jareth's party last year too!

 And I love how impressive looking these huge light sabers gave to the dessert table. There was even a black button to light it up! Imagination counts.

Aren't they cool?!! I must say these really help build up the theme. The kids were delighted to take the handheld ones home, while the huge ones were left for me and my man to settle our squabbles. May the force be with me!



5. Entertainment

It's always my criteria to have the kids happily entertained at a party, especially in the venue of home. Just so they won't overturn the house. I know, I'm one smart Mama here.

We got a magician, Derrick from Cream of Maestro, and settled with his package of magic and games. We've seen him a few times and what convinced me, again, was the use of decent English. We do have some fun slang here and there, but most times he communicated well with the kids.

In line with our Star Wars theme, he got the kids enrolled into the Jedi academy of games, where the kids had crazy fun and laughter with their light sabers. I was most glad he started earlier to entertain the early birds. After which he proceeded to his magic show.

I asked the birthday boy if he liked magician Derrick, he went, "Yes! Because he made light out of my shirt!" Just how wonderful magic it is when it comes to deLIGHTing kids.

6. Pinata
I had really wanted to DIY one, like last year. But while shopping around, we found one decently priced at Spotlight. It didn't take long to decide, so we bought it! However, for some reasons, we didn't have a successful pinata game. We had to manually spill the goodies out. Nonetheless, the kids went scrambling over the fallen goodies.

Behind the scene, Js had a great time filling the pinata up. Instead of 'fattening' it with sweets, I thought I should be kind to those little teeth by mixing in some packs of soy milk and biscuits. Though that left me wondering if these would excite them. Oh well, at least we have some lollies and gummies in there.

For bulk buy of snacks, you may consider visiting the Warehouse club at Joo Koon. You do need a membership to shop in there though.

7. Photographer

Our all time favourite photographer is Swee Shiong from SG East Photography. After Js came along, I started to appreciate great photos even more. I couldn't much settle with grainy or blurry pictures. For memory keepsake, I do think an onsite photographer helps much in capturing the wonderful and unseen moments of your party. All you had need to do, is to focus on hosting and be around where needed. Leave the capturing of beautiful moments to your photographer. 

It really was quite assuring to have one highly mobile camera at the party.

So yeap, that's our little adventure on planning a Star Wars theme party. It didn't have to be an extensive or intensive party, but one that makes all kids Happy! We know how easily contented they are. We appreciate parents who took time off their busy schedule to come by with their kids. "Thank you uncles and aunties for your wonderful presents, and most importantly, your presence that made us felt honoured. Jare had a really fun time with his friends!"

Party is over, we left the galaxy, decided not to join the dark side and come back to Earth. Remember my hard work, son! I am your Mother.

Faboulous Five

The boy turned fabulously 5 last week. We realized how time swift passes us so quickly each time we celebrate birthdays. It's wonderful that he seems ready to be a big brother in 2 months time.  

Dear Son,

Last year, for various reasons, we didn't go into your school for a celebration. I realized this year, it was your first time celebrating birthday in school with your teachers and classmates. Sounding even more blog worthy now, even though it was a really simple celebration.

All easy and unconventional, we decided to bring in mini doughnuts in replacement of cake. And indeed, your friends enjoyed their miniature servings with many going for seconds and thirds. You enjoyed them too, didn't you?!! Doughnuts are your favourite.

Just doughnuts, candles and goodie bags, you got especially delighted. It's a preschool tradition in our family that you are allowed to skip school on birthdays for a day out with Daddy and Mummy. Daddy was however too busy with work that he couldn't be us. I know you had great a day out with me and big sister. You asked to visit your favourite indoor playground and we made it happened.

Keep that cheer always

You spent a good 2 hours of fun in there, which I thought you were being kind to me. At least, I've got a table and chair to wait on, and you didn't drag me for play. You even gave me a leg massage when I told you my leg was cramped. You are one sweet boy!

I saw how well you and your sister played at moments like this. I thought, the best gift I have ever given you, would be a sibling. To play, laugh and at times, squabble with. I am comforted that you both play along well most times. 

You matured in various ways, and your contagious laughter and cheerful heart remain your trait. They inspire me. You have your extraordinary moments which often challenge my methods of discipline, but we know, it's all hugs and kisses that we ended up with. I have also began to feel that my expectation level has heightened as you grow each day. We don't do baby talks now, we get to the point and reason it out. There's so much to drill in you, but I too, get exasperated with the negotiations and repeated reminders. "The laundry clothes, clear your empty plates and bowls, brush your teeth, go shower... " The never ending nags, which we know is to make a better you. 

Looking like a happy-go-lucky chap, I know there's some good resilience built in you. Sometimes, you are more courageous than your sister, but I think a little more of it would be better. May you continue to delight everyone in our family, be our seed of joy, laughter and happiness!

Birthdays get more challenging

It was the man's birthday! And as usual, lavish meals and gifts aren't our utmost love declaration. The initial school week plus lethargy got us really weak. We got down to simplicity. I was so held captive by new routine that shopping for the man's gift turned conveniently online. I got something he needs, from Aldo. Awaiting its arrival.

No matter how tough or busy the going gets, I had always wanted the kids to know that we value birthdays in the family. Cake and candles are excellent for us! The man needed to be at work, and I brought Jazz to choose a cake after school.

 Jazz did a card and printed some family photos for the man (photos which she asked him to print!). Sealed them in an envelop and presented to him while he was driving her to school. How sweet that was, I thought.

She then went on to plan some challenging activities for the birthday man. First to clear was the 'laser tag', which he had to cross the hurdle without touching the yarn she had laid out. They had to duck, dance and raise their legs to get over the other side of their room. You guessed it, the kids had more fun than their Dad.

Second to clear was the treasure egg hunt. Jazz hid some eggs in the house, with clue in each to the next. It did seem really easy for their Dad, he cleared it within minutes!

There was just so much fun watching them play. I did wonder whom they were trying to please in here, their Daddy or themselves?!!! Oh well, I guess all it did matter was, we enjoyed this little celebration with games. It was definitely some wonderful memory stored.  

Happy Birthday, My Husband! May your birthdays ahead be bountifully blessed by these little kids of ours. I shall take the back seat now.

Birthday party planning - Frozen

The Frozen fever did not subside. Jazz is still very much into Let it go and needless to say, that became her birthday party theme last weekend. Her wish became my command. In shades of blue, white and purple (not forgetting Anna), I had the theme done up at her party. It wasn't too difficult as I love party planning. Sometimes it dreads, but there's quite some fun within. Oh well, who else better deserve my time other than my loved ones.

We held her party at slappy cakes, The Grandstand. We thought it's a lovely place that's of good suit for her age group of friends (5 to 6 year old). Little siblings blended very well too.

I brought in our decorations, did up a barely passable dessert table and brought in some entertainers, a magician and a glitter artist. Jazz had always love magic, and requested to have one at her party. We're glad to have made it happen.

I Google and searched for frozen party printable. DIY-ed a banner and some paper tiaras. Here's one you can use. Print them on an A4 sized paper, punch 2 holes, 1 on each end and run a chiffon ribbon through the hole. Triple tie knots to prevent the ribbon from running through. And nope, paper disposable tiaras did not disappoint any girls. In fact, I have much of these leftovers. Drop me a pm if you're planning an upcoming frozen party. I can mail them to you. About 12 of them.

We always have this 4 tier cupcake holder, invested when we were in the states. It had always been whipped out for parties. All I needed to do was don it to the theme with coloured tissues. I had Jelly, marshmallows, crackers and grapes sitting pretty on it. At another side, we had lollies with chiffon ribbon tied to it and chocolates to further elevate a happy mood. And of course, balloons!

Glitter Artist

We used her airbrush service previously for Jare's birthday. Found out that she has sparkly glitter art, and we decided it will wow the kids! She was one entertainer the kids love. Boys and girls would take turns to flock to her for their piece of art. I had thought it would be messy with semi-dried glitter on active kids. To my surprise, it didn't take very long for it to set dry. With Nicole's good range of stencils and colours, it made the kids really happy! She was so occupied that I couldn't find time to slot myself in.

Magician

I had say it's a little of fate to have come by Jason. If you read about our party postponement previously, you would have known he wasn't our first choice. I had google, finely shortlisted and selected before confirming him. I'm apprehensive when it comes to choosing an entertainer. I mean what if someone I hadn't met or heard of is just strange or weird, and speaks a whole chunk of terrible English to the kids?!! Worst, a bunch of acts that he doesn't know what he's doing!

I checked him out, tried searching for reviews and videos of his performance. It was not with much convincing avail, but I was affirmed of my choice because of a credible show he did with channel 8 last year. Mentoring a little magician wannabe. Moreover, it can't be too bad relating to kids when he's a primary school educator, with 20 over years of experience with little kids. Sounding like one who's rich in age. I don't know how old he is, but for sure, he looks young. Ok, he sponsored his service at our party, but I wasn't contracted to say this. Regardless of age, through our correspondences and conversations, I could sense his strong passion for kids and magic.

Magician's food?!!

He's one that many of our guests commented their kids love his magic show! Parents were raving about him too. That was truly the highlight of the party. Jason was magically hilarious! So funny that he had all the kids in stitches. I will say where there's children laughter, there's contented joy. Jason brought with him partners for performance. We met his puppet, Dusty and woah... a live dove! It flew out when Jazz popped a balloon. The kids were very excited to get close for a touch.

It was a bonus to have comedy weaved into magic. A magical surprise indeed! We took up package A (45 mins of balloon sculpting + 30 mins of magic show) with him and I had never think Jack can be a master of all trades. He does have some good skills at balloon sculpting too. Like his magic show, it was no nonsense. And if he can't figure it out, he will be real honest about it. And he actually made sure all kids had a sculpted balloon to bring home that day.

One thing about Jason, he is sure an early bird. He came in even before we, the hosts arrived, and I was suppose to be early for deco do up. It's good assurance that he will not be late for his allocated show time. I also read that he had performed and worked with various charitable organisations to spice up little children from all walks of life. It's so true when we say it's more blessed to give than to receive. May his magical career be richly rewarded.

So yeap, we're extremely thankful to have him making the party extra lively and joyous. Our only regret was not being able to buy him a drink and do a sit down meal with him that day. He had to rush off to another event. Heartfelt thanks, Jason!

Under my appeal, my brother was 'forced' to sacrifice his service behind that resilient fabric. Warm and stuffy, but glad he survived to make some kids happy. Thanks Mummy Ang for the loan!

So glad that Jazz's party happenED! Read past tense. After a series of postponement, she finally made it to blow the candles and distribute her party packs. I had ordered a loot of goodies from taobao to fill the party packs. It took me days to navigate how to finally check out from taobao. Glad my orders arrived! Stampers and pencils from oriental trading. For some reasons, I find it always challenging to get nice lovely stuff from our local party stores. Either they are rather impractical or super expensive. Always prefer hunting more diligently for these, if possible. Planning early helps. Goodie bags are lovely props to thank little friends for coming. It has to delight.

Ordered watches and combs for the girls. We know vanity kicks it at this age and a watch will give them good cue to recess time next year. Inexpensive may not come with quality, but I do hope the watch can withstand time. At least till their first official recess time next year. I added hand made hair clips to the girls' pack. Ribbons from taobao too. Quite an effort, so please tell me the handmade look great.

Segmented Olaf were for the boys. It can be easily assembled with the attached velcro. Jare had this as a gift some time ago, it got him crazily happy. I thought it makes good gift for the boys this time.

It's a relieve to me. I'm most rewarded when the children and guests, whom I'm also trying to please are happy. We know it's not an easy commitment for families to make time for parties. Thank you snow much for coming by, big and little friends! Your presence made her party so complete.

Jazz was so happy, she thanked me profusely for the work done, money spent and bringing in her abracadabra magician dream. Once again, Happy Birthday, Jazz! Yes, your party came true. You've been so patient for this day. Thank you for waiting.
